  • Jason & Tina Ellis - Lead Pastors

    Pastors Jason and Tina became the lead pastors at Mexia First Assembly in 2016.  They have have been in ministry for over 15 years with previous positions in Onalaska, Nacogdoches, and Livingston, Texas.  Pastor Jason is currently working on a Doctorate in Leadership and Communication at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master's of Divinity in 2015, and with a Bachelors from Texas A&M University-Commerce.  Pastor Tina has a Bachelor of Science in Physchology from Stephen F. Austin State University. He teaches at Mexia High School. Tina teaches at McBay Elementary in Mexia.  They have three children: Josiah Miguel, Johnathan Mateo, and Abigail Sofia.

  • Katheryn Horn - Interim Children's PASTOR

    Pastor Katheryn became the children's pastor in September of 2019. She has been in ministry for 7 years including serving in various children's ministry positions. She is currently in her last semester at Southwestern Assemblies of God University where she is majoring in Church Leadership with minors in Children & Family Ministries and Biblical Preaching.

  • Chassity Smith - Interim Worship Director

    Chassity has been the worship leader at MFA since 2013.  She has a passion for worship and loves to see people go full-force into worshiping God. She is currently attending Western Governor University majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies. She teaches at RQ Sims Intermediate.  Her husband, Keith, works at Big Creek Construction.  They have three children: Ethan, Erynn, and Evan.

  • Brenda Gonzalez - Interim youth director

    Brenda has been the interim youth director since March 2019. She has attended MFA for over a decade and has served in many different capacities over the years. In addition to serving as the youth director, Brenda is also on the church advisory team. She works for the City of Mexia. She has three children: Ashley, Marcos, and Alyssa, who all serve within the church.
